ATWS Dharamshala, April 7, 2026: The Office of the Auditor General’s (OAG) Annual General Meeting and Training on Artificial Intelligence, Income Tax, FCRA, Tally, and Construction is underway at the Administrative Training and Welfare Society (ATWS), Dharamshala. ATWS is facilitating the event by providing the venue and related services.

The fifteen-day program, scheduled from April 6 to 20, 2026, was inaugurated by Auditor General Mr. Tashi Topgyal in the presence of senior OAG officials and forty-three staff members from the head office and branch offices in South India, Dekyiling, and Nepal.
The aim and objectives of the program are to provide a platform for staff to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of existing audit procedures, foster a better understanding and application of relevant rules and regulations, and enhance knowledge of revised audit guidelines and technical skills to improve overall auditing processes and work productivity.

During the inaugural session, Acting Secretary Mr. Thinley Chomphel la introduced an overview of the program design based on staff feedback from the previous year. He highlighted the need to leverage AI tools and encouraged active questioning, especially during technical sessions, to improve overall work efficiency.

Following the introductory remarks, Auditor General Mr. Tashi Topgyal la addressed the gathering. In his keynote address, Mr. Topgyal la urged participants to make optimal use of the opportunity by offering open suggestions to improve auditing systems and processes, and to learn and apply new skills in their daily work. He also emphasized the importance of sustaining the entire system of CTA in the long run through collaborative efforts and mutual understanding among all staff.

The program features a combination of theoretical and practical sessions on the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Tally Audit, Construction Audit, Income Tax, and FCRA, with the first and last days dedicated to meeting discussions.
